What does a typical wedding cost at Sheraton Delfina Santa Monica?
Our wedding package starts at $89 per person. Cost varies based on personal preferences and special requests of the bride and groom and, of course, the number of guests.
Can I arrange to have my ceremony at the hotel?
Yes, of course. You may arrange to have your ceremony poolside or in our magnificent ballroom with panoramic views.
Does the hotel offer a discounted guest room block?
If you wish to reserve a block of rooms for your family and guests, please notify your Catering Manager who will be happy to provide you with availability and rates.
Where does the bridal party get ready before the wedding?
To eliminate stress for the bride on the day of the wedding, we recommend a minimum two night stay at the hotel in one of our ocean-view suites. We do offer a complimentary one-night stay in the bridal suite, with a discounted rate on the second night, when your reception is held at the hotel.
Can food and beverage be brought in from the outside?
We do allow outside catering, however, the sale and service of alcoholic beverages is regulated by the State of California and our hotel is responsible for the administration of those regulations. It is the hotel's policy that all alcoholic beverages must be provided by the hotel.
Can I create a customized menu for the wedding reception?
Absolutely. Additional menu selections and customized proposals are available from our Catering Manager and Executive Chef who will be happy to customize a menu based on your needs. The Sheraton Delfina also offers complete catering and event services for both on and offsite events.
Do you offer a menu tasting?
We offer all our Brides the opportunity to experience our Chef's unique food tasting four to six weeks prior to the wedding. All tastings are coordinated with your Catering Manager.
When do I need to finalize my menu?
Food and beverage selections must be finalized and confirmed with your Catering Manager at least 14 days in advance to guarantee availability due to seasonality of some selections. Requests for substitutions must be submitted three (3) business days prior to event, and are subject to availability and Hotel approval. Parties of 12 or more must pre-select a menu.
When do I need to let the hotel know exactly how many guests will be attending my event?
The hotel must be notified of the exact number of guests attending a function at least 72 working hours prior to the start of the event. This will be considered a guarantee.
Is there a service fee or sales tax?
Yes, 21% and state tax at 9.75%. (Of course, these numbers are subject to change).
Will you recommend vendors that the hotel endorses?
Yes. We will be more than happy to provide you with recommended vendors. Please consult with your Catering Manager for a recommended list of creative and qualified wedding professionals.
Do I need to provide a deposit to secure my date?
To secure a date, a signed contract and non-refundable deposit is required. Deposits range anywhere from $500 to $3,000 depending on the estimated value of the event. A full estimated prepayment of the event is due two weeks prior to the wedding date. A credit card will need to be on file to accommodate any overages on the day of the event.
What time does my event need to conclude?
Our standard Wedding Package includes six hours of service and all events must conclude at midnight.
Can my guests park at the hotel?
Yes. Valet parking is available and will be included in your wedding package price.
Does your hotel provide complimentary bridal suites?
We offer a complimentary ocean view suite to the bride and groom on the night of the wedding.
Can I have my photos taken at Sheraton Delfina Santa Monica?
The hotel and Santa Monica, itself offer many unique and beautiful backdrops for your wedding pictures.
Is there someone to assist us on planning transportation and other activities?
Yes.
What airports are close by?
LAX is just a 20-minute drive away. Santa Monica Airport is only ten minutes away.
